WHITE ROCK, B.C. – Peace Arch Hospital’s 70th Birthday proved to be the ultimate Sunday Funday! Community members of all ages gathered in Peace Arch Hospital’s east parking lot to celebrate 70 years of care and comfort at Peace Arch Hospital.

This family-friendly event featured all the fun of a birthday party, with a bouncy castle, face painters, birthday treats, and balloon artists. There were also community vendors, live music, birthday treats, and refreshments. The White Rock Firefighters Charitable Association came out for the fun day, cooking up hot dogs for all guests!

The dunk tank proved to be a splashing success, giving a cool relief on this sunny day. Doctors and White Rock firefighters took the cold seat on Sunday, letting guests of all ages try their shot to dunk them. Thank you again to Dr. Bippan Sangha, Dr. Karim Ahamed, Dr. George Francis, and the two White Rock firefighters for their amazing participation in our event.

This Sunday was also a time of giving! The Vancouver Students Business Association raised an incredible $2,000 for our Medical Imaging Campaign. This donation has been matched by the Surrey and White Rock Firefighters Charitable Associations, doubling the impact of this generous contribution. Thank you to the Vancouver Students Business Association for their dedication to giving back to their community.

That’s not all! The Peace Arch Hospital Auxiliary also made an extraordinary donation of $500,000 to our Medical Imaging Campaign. This generous donation brings us that much closer to our $10 million goal for Medical Imaging at Peace Arch Hospital! A big thank you to the Peace Arch Hospital for their amazing contribution to better health care in our community.

What an amazing way to celebrate 70 years of Peace Arch Hospital – a place committed to quality health care and top-notch medical services for White Rock.
