WHITE ROCK, BC – Two local retirement homes in White Rock spread their wings in support of the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation’s current Medical Imaging campaign.

On Friday, July 26, Amica White Rock and Aspira Pacifica Retirement both held butterfly releases for their residents. Individuals bought butterflies for their loved ones, which would be released in a magical moment in their beautiful gardens. The seniors truly coloured the sky for a good cause on this summer day! With the enthusiastic participation at both seniors’ residences, each event raised more than $1,300!

All proceeds from these events were graciously donated to the Medical Imaging campaign at Peace Arch Hospital Foundation. In a generous act of solidarity, the Surrey and White Rock Firefighters charitable organizations have matched all funds raised, doubling the impact of these efforts. The combined contributions will significantly benefit the medical imaging campaign, helping to bring us closer to our $10 million goal.

It is heartwarming to see the community come together. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved in these memorable events, and to the firefighters for their unwavering support this summer!
